All language acquisition starts inside the mother; there's much cause to call it "the mother tongue." A child sees his mother and babbles. A child will walk to his father and babble. But quickly, the language moves to the ears, where the daily diet of dialogue, loving phrases, and the entire communication of a family nurtures the brain with the words of everyday. You can start teaching your children a second language as soon as they are born.
For this resource, we will begin with some suggestions for bringing language learning into your home. We're experts with older students, but in our homeschool, we have taught our sons and daughters and our niece how to read in English and our children are growing in literacy in Spanish and Latin languages.
